(Background music plays for 15 seconds) Envelops Gwangalli like a reed field during the day and like the light of the Milky Way galaxy at night, serving to purify the boundary between nature and the city

  • Yann Kersale/ France (Created in 2007)
Since graduating from the École des Beaux-Arts, Yann Kersale has continued working with light. The artist uses light not in ways as we usually see in cities but as a way to work on sculptures and installations; in other words, as a formative artist.

As the artist himself says, in his works light becomes a complete material for him, making him a “sculptor of light”

Installed on the tops of thin branches, the artist’s work on the beach in Busan creates a sense of currents by having dots from this giant light shake with the breeze like a cloud of spray, which seems to be like the allegory of fine wave bubbles. This work confirms his identity as a sculptor of light once again.
