Jwasuyeong Fortress Site Muku Tree (Natural Monument No. 311)

Muku Tree designated as Natural Monument No. 311 on November 4, 1982 is located in the southwestern side of Suyeong Fortress. It is a large tree assumed to be not less than 500 years old. Local residents consider it as a tree of earth god. It is said that the tree keeps people falling from it from getting hurt.
It is 18m in height, 8.5m in circumference and 22.8m and 18.5m in width of crown (respectively, east-west and south-north). It has several lumps on the base of the tree trunk.

Location

There is Haeun Apartment 50 meters away in the direction of Yeonsan-dong at Suyeong Crossroads, and it is located 200 meters along a road on the right hand side. (Entry of Suyeong Sajeok Park)

Transportation

Bus

Take 5,5-1,20,36,42,49-1,51-1,54,62,63,131,141 and 210 and get off at Suyeong Sajeok Park before walking for 10 minutes

Subway

Take Subway Line No. 2 and 3 and get off at Suyeong Station before getting out through Exit No. 2 and walking for 10 minutes
