Shrine of Songssi Halmae (Grandmother Song)

It is assumed to be 400 years ago, and Shrine of Songssi Halmae established by Eul-bae Kim in May 11, 1981 is aimed to honor the spirit of Songssi Halmae (Grandmother Song) who resisted against Japanese soldiers during the Japanese colonial rule.
Rituals are performed in the order of Seongju Shrine, Doksinmyo and Japanese Black Pine, which means Songssi Halmae Ritual, Doksin Ritual and Dangsan Tree Ritual are held in the order. Prior to the 1960s, rites were performed in the order of Songssi Halmae Ritual, Dokni Ritual, Meonmulsaem Ritual and Georitdae Ritual in the order. However, Dangsan Ritual (A ritual for village gods) stopped being performed 10 years ago, and these days, shamans visit the Shrine of Songssi Halmae on a daily basis.
