Memorial Monument for Naval Force Commander

Memorial Monument for Naval Force Commander is placed next to a narrow path in the back of Natural Monument Muku Tree in Suyeong Sajeok Park.
The memorial monument is a headstone to honor distinguished services rendered by naval force commanders who served in Gyeongsang Jwasuyeong during the Joseon Dynasty. As the area around Suyeong Fortress was urbanized, Suyeong relocated headstones erected in various places to the area near South Gate before moving it to the present location in 2002.
Currently, 33 headstones are preserved in two rows, and some of them are granite, and others are well-arranged natural stones.
They are memorial monuments praising the beneficial administration of naval force commanders and their deputy Ugan who served from 1639 (17th year of King Injo) to 1890 (27th year of King Gojong).
Most of them are so worn out that they are almost illegible.
