F1963

F1963 is a complex cultural space that was established by Kiswire, a global steel maker. 1963 is the year when Kiswire built the factory in Mangmi-dong in Suyeong-gu for the first time, and ‘F’ in F1963 means ‘Factory’.
The factory that had manufactured wire rope for 45 years from 1963 to 2008 was used as Busan Biennale Exhibition Hall in September 2016, and since then, it has induced various commercial facilities including coffee houses and second-hand book stores in addition to various exhibitions and events such as Picasso Exhibition and Busan International Comedy Festival turning it into a complex cultural space where paintings and arts coexist and human beings and culture play a central role. As the nature and arts coexist, and all genres of cultural arts are converged, F1963 has changed into a cultural plant filled with vitality for 365 days a year and is expected to breathe a new life into the entire Busan area in addition to Suyeong-gu.
